our HOME our MOTHER EARTH

Listen to me, please.
You’re like me, a homo sapiens, a wise human.
Life, a miracle in a universal appeared around 4 billion years ago.
And humans; only 200,000 years ago…
Yet we have succeeded in the disrupting the balance that is so essential to life.
Listen carefully to the extraordinary story, which is yours, and decide what you want to do with it.
The voice comes from the earth.
Our home is our natural connection to the Earth.
However, our modern lifestyle often disconnects us from the natural elements of Earth.
We live in a world made of concrete—buildings, paved roads, and sidewalks—minimal exposure to plants, flowers and trees.
We rarely get to experience nature on a large scale- the beauty of the earth, cascading mountains, vast forests or powerful waterways.
Adding to our dilemma is the high level of pollution and chemicals we are exposed to on a daily basis.
We cannot escape the magnetic pull that the Earth’s energy has on us- but we are living in a world that is sadly out of balance with nature!
And these imbalances can contribute to both physical and emotional illness to us and to our mother earth.
Can you imagine our world facing increased threats of apocalyptic hurricanes, earthquakes, fires, floods, diseases and extinction caused by global warming? Some people say that scientists are overreacting and that the situation is not as bad as it seems. Well, think twice.
The world is facing gargantuan problems for 2 reasons. First, existing climate models predict that global temperatures will increase by 1.4°C to 5.8°C from 1990 to 2100. The increase in forest fires in Australia, Asia and recently in Southern California that forced more than half a million people from their homes are certainly supporting evidence of global warming.
Secondly, the melting of the ice caps caused by global warming is predicted to raise global average sea levels by 9 cm to 88 cm between the years 1990 and 2100.
This is evidenced by flash floods all over the world, leading to loss of lives and extinction of some animals and plants. Further, floods and droughts would lead to loss in food production leading to hunger in many parts of the world.
As a result …
5,000 people a day die because of dirty drinking water.
Nearly 1 billion people are going hungry.
The average temperature of the last 15 years has been the highest ever recorded.
The ice cap is 40% thinner than 40 years ago.
There may being at least 200 million climate refugees by 2050.
Humans… …
We are facing the greatest challenge now! We are all a part of the tree of life.
Humans, like other creatures are like the leaves, sitting on many different branches, yet dependent on the very same trunk.
In the gospel of Chief Seattle’s wisdom comes to us in the phrase “The Earth doesn’t belong to us. We belong to the Earth.”
And now, we have created phenomena we cannot control, since our origins water, air and forms of life are intimately linked. But recently we have broken those!
Let’s face the facts: we must believe for what we know, all of that we just listen, is reflection of human behavior.
We have shaped the earth in our image, we have very little to change how can the century carry the burden of 9 billion human beings if we refuse to be called to account for everything we alone have done.
We need to increase awareness on what is really happening to our Mother Earth; she is very sick and dying. Global warming is a very serious and urgent issue confronting us now and ahead.
Everyone, let’s roll up our sleeves to combat global warming by going green and conserving energy today!
Reduce! Reuse and Recycle! SAVE OUR PLANET. SAVE OUR HOME. TOGETHER.
